For the last few days I've heard so many rants from people
who gladly wear the badge of raging liberal that McCain is “doing politics as
usual”. They accuse him of lying about Obama's voting record (that's when
he ever votes). They also accuse the GOP of only garnering support
because of fear tactics. The latest being about the campaign ad which
references Senate Bill 99 from the Illinois senate in 2003. They claim the ad makes it look like Obama
wants to teach kids in kindergarten about sex. The Obama campaign
contends it is completely false and that the bill was about teaching the
Illinois youth about "stranger danger" and how to protect themselves
from pedophiles.
Truthfully, when I initially saw the ad, I didn't get scared
that he would try and have sex ed in grade school, but it showed me that Obama
has a completely different value system than I do. I want kindergarten students to learn how to
read and write and do arithmetic. I do not
want them to learn about sexually transmitted diseases, HIV, or that Danny has
two daddy’s or anything like that. Forgive me, but most parents send their children to school to learn. Developmentally speaking, a five-year-old
should learn the names of their body parts from their parents, not the various
ways to use a condom to prevent herpes.
I know, there are some parents who are absent and do not see their role
as the primary educator of their children--another topic. This was my view of the campaign ad. My liberal associates berated me for being
afraid and manipulated. The
condescension is unbelievable.
The most recent proof
they have shown me to display how much I’ve been snookered in by the “establishment”
and “I’m too stupid to realize anything” is this: they posted an MSNBC clip of
the Jed Report showing how Ari Melber attacks one of the “lying Republicans”. He and the reporter attack Republican
strategist Brad Blakeman for the ad and how it shows that they are lying and
spreading fear propaganda to the mindless Americans. They are there to defend Obama’s voting honor
that he didn’t vote to teach kindergarten students to have sex, but to teach
kids about “stranger danger”. Blakeman
was caught off guard and so he stumbled a bit. The initial premise of the show was the fact that both Obama and McCain
were working together on the memorial of September 11th.
Finally, I consulted google about this Senate Bill 99. I really do love google. You can see the full text of the actual
Illinois General Assembly document. You
can also see others who were outraged by the “lies” of John McCain like Planned
Parenthood.
Barack Obama was not a co-sponsor or writer of the
bill. He did support the bill while
sitting as the Chairperson of the Health and Human Services Committee. A parent could have their child “opt-out”, which
is code word for sending your student to the library or principals office while
they indoctrinate the others. Your
child could then learn all about it later at lunch.
The Obama campaign wants Americans to believe that the ad is
a complete fabrication and the bill was taken out of context. The bill in question IS about sex education
for kindergarten (to 12th grade) including information on sexually
transmitted diseases, HIV, and more.
I
started to think, is this one of the instances where Obama voted for it by
mistake? Information exists that Obama
mis-voted at least five times—he “pushed the wrong button”. Could this be one of those instances? He clearly believes that his good name is
being tarnished as a peddler for child porn or something, since he really only
wanted kindergarteners to learn of “stranger danger”. But the fact remains that the bill is a lot
more than that.
Does the entire Obama
campaign still contend that the bill was only about stranger danger and not
comprehensive sex education? Are the
record keepers of the Illinois Legislature liars too? Who else is lying about this conspiracy which
is trying to tarnish the reputation of the fair senator of Illinois?
Is Obama lying or is he inept? Neither is acceptable to me. Please research the Illinois Senate Bill 99
from 2003 and decide for yourself.
